About
Hi, I am Allyn. Welcome!
I paint to make peace with change. I am creating an anchor.
The work is abstract acrylic — built in layers and glazes, color suspended and reworked, edges blurring and resolving the way transition proceeds: gradually, in passes, until coherence emerges. An abstract field stays open, so the work can hold whatever threshold the person in front of it is standing on.
Unlimited possibility. Deep grief. Joy. Gratitude. The unknown. All the things.
My hope is that these pieces keep someone company there — that they live on the wall of a season with no name yet.
Painting helps me make sense of the foggy spaces. My work is for the person who is in it, and for the people who love them.
A reminder that you are not lost, but in a space, you are reshaping.
